As President Yoes said, we are all at a loss for words and completely stunned by the sudden loss of Wayne Winkler, who just announced in March that he was battling cancer, but said he wasn’t leaving without a fight.
Unfortunately, Wayne was dealt another tough hand during the last 24 hours or so regarding some respiratory issues that, despite his best efforts, he could not overcome.
Wayne will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, his love of being a cop and his incredible knowledge of all things NJFOP as he was a mentor to all.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
